Suite au succès qu’a enregistré la caravane «Free Style» en juin 2006 à Casablanca, et ce malgré un court passage, la Fédération Royale Marocaine de Motocyclisme ( FRMM) organise, pour la deuxième année consécutive, la seconde édition de ladite caravane du 18 au 25 du mois courant à Marrakech, Casablanca et Tanger.
En effet, la ville ocre a eu le privilège d’ouvrir le bal, puisque les soirées du 18 et 19 courant étaient le théâtre d’un spectacle tout simplement sublime. Des pilotes venus des quatre coins du monde ont charmé un public qui, dans sa majorité, découvrait pour la première fois ce genre de sport. Le rendez-vous a été pris au bon milieu du boulevard Mohammed VI qui, situé entre la Ménara et la Koutoubia, témoins d’un passé glorieux, a vécu un événement des plus modernes où animation et compétition sportive. Pendant la première représentation, les personnes présentes n’en croyaient pas leurs yeux, tellement le spectacle relevait de l’imaginaire. Les pilotes, certains sur des VTT, d’autres sur quaids ou motos exécutaient des acrobaties que l’on ne voyait que dans les films. Lors de la deuxième soirée, le public était plus nombreux et bien organisé.
Les pilotes en vélo tout terrain étaient les premiers à annoncer la couleur. Les figures acrobatiques étaient tellement bien exécutées qu’on les croirait faites par des machines. On ne comptait plus les «back- flip» ni les «360°» tour sur soi-même avec le vélo, tout devenait simple et normal, car tout simplement bien exprimé par des professionnels de renommée mondiale.
Louis Peyre, pilote français spécialiste en BMX (Bicyclette moto cross) a confié : «Mis à part le vent qui nous gênait de temps à autre, tout était impeccable. Le public est formidable par ses encouragements. Pour ce qui est des acrobaties, on met des protections pour moins avoir peur des chutes, et même quand on tombe, on a vite envie d’y retourner. C’est le plaisir qui prend le dessus. Lorsqu’on est en haut, on se prend pour un oiseau». Après les VTT, c’était au tour des quaids de prendre le relai. Les conducteurs ont gratifié le public d’un spectacle inédit.
Les figures passaient et ne se ressemblaient pas. Et pour clore le bal en apothéose, le dernier numéro a été réservé au spectacle des motos. Les pilotes, des vrais artistes, ont offert au public d’un réel des moments de vrai bonheur et l’occasion de vivre des sensations fortes dont ils n’ont jamais rêvé. Mais la montée de l’adrénaline a atteint son apogée lorsque les cascadeurs effectuaient le 360, et surtout le back- flip, c’est-à-dire un tour complet en plein air, pilote et moto.
Dans cette catégorie, le fréestyle moto cross, Gérald Sanfilippo, professionnel français, déclarait : «C’est ma première fois au Maroc avec la caravane de l’extrême. Je suis satisfait de tout ; le public a été très réceptif et l’organisation parfaite. Même en France où ce sport est connu, on a beaucoup de mal à organiser des manifestations. Pour ce qui est des sensations, oui, on est un peu hors normes et on trouve du plaisir dans ce qu’on fait. Le risque fait partie de ce plaisir».
Au terme de la compétition, Abdallah Laraichi, secrétaire général de la FRMM a déclaré : «On a fait de gros effort pour réussir cette manifestation sportive. Notre but était de réunir le maximum de gens pour leur faire connaître ce sport et c’est dans ce sens qu’on a fait appel aux grands professionnels de la discipline. Maintenant, il reste à espérer que des sponsors se manifestent pour nous aider à donner à ce sport la place qu’il mérite, surtout que notre pays regorge de potentialités humaines qui n’attendent que l’occasion et les moyens pour pratiquer cette discipline sportive.
De son côté, Aziz Kammah, le directeur de la caravane a dit : «Notre plus grande satisfaction fut celle du public. La joie exprimée sur le visage des spectateurs résume à elle seule beaucoup de choses. Dans ce sens, je crois que le but est atteint parce qu’on voulait à travers ce spectacle offrir aux gens l’occasion de voir et de vivre des moments de fortes sensations. Notre objectif serait entièrement atteint lorsqu’on on arriverait à partager ces moments de plaisir avec tous les Marocains, et dans toutes les villes du royaume. Pour ce qui est de la participation marocaine, on promet pour l’année prochaine des nationaux dans les disciplines VTT et en cascade sur goudron».
L’invitation est lancée aux Casablancais et aux Tangérois pour profiter du passage de la caravane free style afin de découvrir un autre genre de sport et surtout pour vivre des moments d’une rare intensité.
